a black & white affair

date:02/27/12

So excited to see Sarah’s beautiful black and white themed wedding in our first French press, Marriages! It’s our first major coverage and makes me so proud of her. She works so hard for p+c and it makes me so happy to see this new venture flourish.

real wedding: aneta & phil

date:01/09/12

We worked on Aneta & Phil’s wedding with the amazing UK wedding planner Mary from Forever & Ever Events and their wedding is featured in Martha Stewart Weddings! We had so much fun working on all the day of pieces such as custom illustrations like the camera on vintage tags used as place cards (Aneta is a wedding photographer) and hand painted portraits of the couple. See more fun details and photographs by Leo Patrone on Mary’s blog. Congrats Aneta & Phil, what a beautiful wedding!

custom made for Firenze

date:10/05/11

I had the chance to cross the path of Paper+Cup and its founder, Minhee just after I got engaged.
Thanks to her, I plunged into the world of weddings and invitations as well as getting into the world of letterpress.
My codes for my wedding colors were black and white (stripes) and a touch of magenta.
I wanted unique invitations that looked like my fiance and I, and I went through several stages of design. I also had to do with some of the parents’ “suggestions” (lucky me, it was soft ones)… Finally, I created a design a little modern / retro somewhat / a little rock n ‘roll / a touch of classic (and yes, all this at once!). The invitation and the rsvp’s were done in letterpress so I can “feel” the ink under my fingers and give some texture. To save on costs, I flat printed the city hall and the brunch invites on a digital using letterpress paper.
We also found several DIY ideas to give some character to weddings, but it will be in a future post!

Sarah+Ben engagement session

date:09/26/11

Those are some of my fav pic. from my engagement session that we did last year in Coney Island + Lower East Side. We had a real blast with Scott and Cristen this day and we were lucky to be featured in Brooklyn Bride and la mariée aux pieds nus, if you want to check out some more! We are now actually waiting for our wedding pics (we ask Scott again to be our photographer in Italy!) and I can’t wait to share them with you.
